Educational Qualification

Note: A Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree is also accepted wherever a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree is prescribed, but only for the Commercial and Operations posts.

The eligibility criteria vary by post. For Operations and Commercial posts, candidates can apply through the prescribed Engineering degree or the Science plus MBA qualification route, on the otherhand Manager (Corporate Planning) post requires a postgraduate degree in Statistics or Operations Research and Candidates must meet the specified educational qualification to be eligible for this post. For the Manager (Finance) post, candidates must have the required ERP experience with SAP, applicants should carefully verify that they meet all the specified qualification and experience requirements before applying.


Selection Process

The selection process begins with a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of objective-type questions. There is no negative marking for incorrect answersb and the question paper will be available in Hindi and English, except for posts that require a language-specific test.

Candidates who qualify in the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be called for Application Verification and  any post-specific subsequent tests. Interview is conducted only for Manager posts (Post Codes 1 to 11) but candidates applying for Junior Executive posts (Post Codes 12 to 15) are not required to appear for an interview.
Candidates applying for the Manager (Fire Services) post must also qualify the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Driving Test, and Physical Endurance Test (PET) before the interview and only those who successfully clear all the prescribed physical tests will be eligible for the next stage of the selection process.

Candidates applying for Manager (Operations) and Junior Executive (Operations) must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence at the time of document verification and for the Manager (Fire Services) post, a permanent LMV driving licence is mandatory, and a learner's licence will not be accepted. Candidates applying for posts other than Manager (Finance) and Junior Executive (Finance) must meet the prescribed medical standards i.e., candidates with colour blindness or night blindness are not eligible for these posts.


Salary, Job Location, and Service Conditions

Manager posts are in the E-3 pay scale of β‚Ή60,000–3%–₹1,80,000 (IDA) with an approximate annual CTC of β‚Ή21 lakh. Junior Executive posts are in the E-1 pay scale of β‚Ή40,000–3%–₹1,40,000 (IDA) with an approximate annual CTC of β‚Ή14 lakh and in addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), Perks, HRA, CPF, Gratuity, Social Security Schemes, Medical Benefits, and other admissible benefits as per AAI rules.

Candidates joining AAI from a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), State PSU, or Government Department through the proper relieving channel may be eligible for pay protection as per the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) guidelines.

Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India as per the requirements of the Airports Authority of India (AAI). For the Manager (Fire Services) post, selected candidates must undergo the prescribed training and execute a Rs.5 lakh surety bond to serve AAI for three years after completing the training but for every other post, probation terms are not mentioned.
