BOB Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 206 Officer Posts; Apply at bankofbaroda.in by 26th August
Bank of Baroda's 2026 regular recruitment brings 206 posts on permanent bank rolls, not contracts. If you are scanning for volume, the numeric magnet is Manager Security with 54 vacancies, but its one-line eligibility crux is strictly limited: graduate plus 5 years of commissioned service as an officer in the Army / Navy / Air Force, or DSP-rank police officer, or Assistant Commandant or above in paramilitary forces. That filters out the general graduate pool. For the wider candidate base, the real volume is in facility management with 88 vacancies. The traffic driver there is a Technical Officer - Civil Engineer (JMG/S-I) with 35 posts: a mandatory BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of post-qualification experience in civil construction, estimates, or electromechanical maintenance in institutional or multistoried buildings. Selection for all posts is not a single written exam. According to the official notification, the bank will first check applications based on qualification, experience, and overall suitability. The bank may conduct an online test if required. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for a psychometric assessment and interview. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India. The probation period is 12 months of active service, and selected candidates must also sign a 3-year service bond.
This information is collected only from the official notification PDF BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/15 and the Bank's official website bankofbaroda.bank.in. If any detail is not available in those sources, it is mentioned as unavailable.

Competition Snapshot
According to historical trends, PSB specialist drives typically receive several thousand applications for high-volume positions like Technical Officer Electrical and Technical Officer Civil. As a result, the competition for general male candidates is more intense than the headline figure. Manager Security has 54 positions, but only commissioned defense, police, and paramilitary officers with five years of Class I gazetted service are eligible. There are fewer applications, but verification is more stringent and document review is crucial. There are fewer applications for niche positions with one or two openings (Data Scientist, Investor Relations, and Senior Manager Digital Product), but there is virtually no relaxation on experience or certification. These are shortlisted based on profiles rather than exams.
- Apply if you match the exact experience domain and duration for a high-vacancy post (Civil/Electrical Officer, Security, Digital Product) and can produce relieving letters, salary slips and CTC break-up on demand.
- Skip if you are counting internships, clerical experience, or experience under 6 months in an organisation to meet the threshold. Those will not be counted.
Application Fee Details
| Category | Fee + GST | Gateway Charges |
| General, EWS, OBC | Rs. 850 inclusive of GST | Extra, to be borne by candidate |
| SC, ST, PwD, ESM/DESM, Women | Rs. 175 inclusive of GST (intimation charges only) | Extra |
The fee is non-refundable irrespective of whether an online test is conducted or whether you are shortlisted for interview. If a candidate makes multiple payments, no refund will be entertained.
3 Things to Verify Before Paying the Fee
- Your experience certificate explicitly states post-qualification period after the date of passing, with designation and domain matching the post.
- Your category certificate matches Central Government format and the roster point exists for that post.
- You are applying for only one post - only the last valid application is retained.
Age Limit and Relaxation (as on 01.08.2026)
| Post Group | Age Range (General) |
| Technical Officer Civil/Electrical (JMG/S-I) | 23 to 35 years |
| Manager Digital Product, Manager Information Security | 24 to 36 years |
| Manager Security, Technical Manager Civil/Electrical, Manager Taxation/Accounts | 25 to 37 years |
| Product Manager Digital Lending | 23 to 35 years |
| Senior Manager Digital Product, Data Scientist, Data Profiling, DQ Analyst, BI & Dashboard | 27 to 39 years |
| Technical Senior Manager Civil/Electrical, Senior Manager Taxation/Accounts | 28 to 40 years |
| Chief Manager Investor Relations | 28 to 40 years |
| Chief Manager Data Scientist | 31 to 43 years |
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
| Category | Relaxation |
| SC / ST | 5 years |
| OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) | 3 years |
| PwD - Gen/EWS | 10 years |
| PwD - OBC | 13 years |
| PwD - SC/ST | 15 years |
| Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs with at least 5 years military service and released on completion of assignment | Gen/EWS 5 years, OBC 8 years, SC/ST 10 years |
Important Note: According to the notification, age relaxation is applicable only for those posts where reservation roster points are available as indicated in the vacancy table. Where no SC/ST or OBC vacancy is shown for a particular post, the corresponding relaxation for that category will not apply for that post.
Alert - Eligibility is frozen on 01.08.2026 and experience has strict counting rules
The notification states that eligibility for age, education and experience is strictly as on 01.08.2026. Post-qualification experience of less than six months in any organisation as on that date will not be considered, except when it is part of your current employment. Experience in clerical cadre will not be considered at all. Shortlisting and interview calls are purely provisional without document verification. If you are called but cannot produce originals that match the exact experience domain, your candidature will be cancelled at verification with no recourse and the fee will not be refunded.
Educational Qualification and Mandatory Experience
Qualification must be from a University / Institute / Board recognised by Government of India / Govt. bodies etc . Percentage is to be calculated to two decimals, CGPA must be converted as per university norms and supported by a conversion certificate at interview.

Selection Process
- Application Scrutiny - internal, confidential shortlisting on qualification, relevant work experience, domain expertise, suitability and any other criteria determined by the Bank. Meeting minimum eligibility does not entitle you to an interview.
- Online Test, psychometric test or any other test deemed suitable - if Bank decides to conduct it.
- Group Discussion and / or Interview (Personal Interview).
- Interview qualifying marks: 60% for General and EWS, 55% for reserved categories. Bank may change this at its discretion.
- Combined final scores, where online test is held, are based on scores in online test and / or PI and / or any other method. For posts where no online test is held, merit is based on interview and / or other assessments.
- Bank reserves the right to consider your candidature for a different position than applied, if you meet its eligibility.
- Biometric data, IRIS scan and photograph will be captured and verified at test, interview and joining. Refusal leads to cancellation.
- In case of tie at cut-off, candidates are ranked by age in descending order.
Exam Pattern of BOB Recruitment 2026
Important Note: According to the notification, Sections 1, 2 and 3 are qualifying in nature. Marks secured in them will not be reckoned for final result. You must secure minimum qualifying marks in each section as decided by the Bank, but final merit depends on Professional Knowledge (150 marks) plus interview. There is negative marking of 0.25 of the marks assigned to a question for each wrong answer. No penalty for unanswered questions. Bank may add or substitute a descriptive test or case study.
What to Watch Out For in the Exam - Compact Warning
- Professional Knowledge carries 66% of the marks (150 of 225). Many candidates misallocate time to Reasoning/Quant which are only qualifying.
- Negative marking of 0.25 applies in all sections, including qualifying ones. Reckless attempts to clear sectional cut-offs can pull you down.
- Language trap: English section is English only, other sections are bilingual. Do not expect Hindi for English.
Salary, Probation and Service Bond
In addition to basic pay, allowances, perquisites and benefits apply as per bipartite settlement and Bank policies, subject to revision.
Probation: 12 months of active service from date of joining.
Service Bond:
- For JMG/S-I: Serve minimum 3 years active service or pay 3 months' Gross Salary subject to a maximum of Rs. 2 Lakhs if you leave before 3 years.
- For MMG/S-II, MMG/S-III and SMG/S-IV: Serve minimum 3 years or pay 3 months' Gross Salary subject to a maximum of Rs. 3 Lakhs.
Bond amount and period are subject to revision as per prevailing Bank policy and will be stated in the offer letter. You must sign an employment contract.
Alert - One application only and no category change is permitted
According to the notification, not more than one application should be submitted. In case of multiple applications, only the latest valid completed application will be retained and the fee for other registrations will stand forfeited. Caste / EWS / PwD category indicated at registration cannot be changed at any stage after registration, and the result will be processed on that basis. Candidates in OBC creamy layer or whose caste is not in the Central List must apply as General, otherwise candidature will be cancelled at verification.
Step-by-Step Application Process
- Keep a valid personal email id and mobile number. All call letters and intimations will be sent only there & on the Bank website.
- Visit www.bankofbaroda.bank.in > Career > Current Opportunities and open the link for BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/15.
- Register with basic details, generate provisional registration number and password. Note them down.
- Fill the online form carefully - name spelling must match certificates, category, date of birth, post applied, centre once submitted cannot be changed.
- Upload bio-data, photograph, signature and all PDFs as per Annexure II specifications. Preview each upload to confirm clarity.
- Verify all particulars before clicking SUBMIT. Visually impaired candidates must verify details before submission as no change is allowed after submit.
- Pay the fee through the payment gateway using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking / UPI. Bear transaction charges. On successful transaction, an e-receipt and application form with entered data will be generated - print and retain both.
- If transaction fails, register again and pay afresh. Only the application where fee is deposited online on or before 26.08.2026 is considered complete.
- Submit supporting documents as required in the portal. After uploading, documents cannot be edited.
Hidden Friction Points in This Recruitment
This is where most delays and rejections actually happen in specialist PSB drives, beyond eligibility.
- Document scan trap: All PDFs must be under 500KB and A4, but experience letters with multiple pages often exceed the limit. Candidates compress aggressively and end up with unreadable text. The system shows upload success but verification later fails. Scan at 200 dpi, true colour, then check readability in preview - if the face in photo or text in certificate is unclear, the application may be rejected.
- Name mismatch freeze: The online form locks name, category, date of birth and centre after submit. A mismatch between application name and ID / degree (initials, father's name inclusion, transliteration) is flagged at biometric verification and you may not be allowed to appear. Keep it character-exact to your matriculation certificate.
- Payment gateway and last-day server rush: Fee payment must succeed on or before 26.08.2026. Last-day load leads to debited amount without e-receipt, and the application remains incomplete. Apply much before the closing date, use a stable connection, and if debited without receipt, do not wait - re-register and pay again as instructed. Keep both transaction references for follow-up, but do not assume auto-reconciliation.
- Experience domain wording: For Facility Management and Information Security, the certificate must explicitly mention monitoring/execution of construction, preparation of estimates, maintenance of electromechanical equipment in institutional / multistoried buildings, or specific InfoSec role duration and SOC tool exposure. Generic HR letters stating "worked as Engineer" are returned during scrutiny. Collect revised letters before applying.
- Scribe and PwD upload discipline: Candidates who need a scribe must indicate it in the online form and upload the prescribed medical authority certificate at application stage. Request at exam hall will not be entertained. Compensatory time is system-based, only for those registered.
- NOC timing for in-service candidates: Government / PSU / Bank employees must produce No Objection Certificate at interview. At joining, a relieving letter is mandatory. Inform your current employer early, as last-minute NOC denial means automatic exit from the process.
Alert - PwD temporary disability and certificate validity
As per DEPwD Office Memorandum No. 18-25/2024-Policy dated 17.12.2025 cited in the notification, PwD candidates whose disability certificate shows condition as "likely to improve" under temporary disability category are not eligible for reservation. Only conditions marked as Progressive, non-progressive or not likely to improve are eligible. Government guidelines for PwBD are subject to change, and verification of PwD certificates will be strictly as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and extant instructions.
No other mode of application is accepted. Do not send hard copies directly to the Bank unless explicitly called for at interview.
Common Technical and Procedural Mistakes to Avoid
- Assuming graduation percentage relaxation. The notification does not prescribe a minimum percentage for most posts, but fractional rounding is strict - 59.99% is treated as less than 60%.
- Entering CGPA without converting to percentage and without keeping the university conversion certificate ready for interview.
- Waiting for email for updates. The Bank states that all announcements will be placed on the website and treated as intimation, with email as secondary.
- Carrying mobile phones, pagers or calculators to the test venue. Infringement leads to cancellation and ban from future examinations by the Bank.
- Furnishing false or suppressed information or engaging in unfair means. The test agency analyses response patterns for similarity. Detected cases lead to disqualification, permanent debarment and termination even after joining, with retrospective effect.
FAQs
Q: 1. I have a BE in Civil but my 2 years experience is in a private construction firm doing residential villas. Am I eligible for Technical Officer Civil?
A: The notification requires experience in institutional buildings / multistoried buildings / major installations. Residential villa experience alone may not match the stated domain. The scrutiny panel decides suitability, and shortlisting criteria are confidential. If your letter does not mention the required context, risk of rejection is high.
Q: 2. Can I apply for two posts, for example Technical Officer Civil and Manager Digital Product?
A: No. The notification states not more than one application should be submitted. Multiple applications lead to forfeiture of fees for earlier ones and only the latest valid application is retained. Choose the post where your documents align best.
Q: 3. Is the online test confirmed for all posts?
A: Not confirmed. The structure is described as tentative in case the Bank decides to conduct the test for any or all positions. Final decision, centres and dates will be intimated separately. Prepare for Professional Knowledge plus qualifying sections, but do not assume the test will be held for your post.
Q: 4. I am OBC but my caste is in the State List, not Central List. Can I claim reservation?
A: No. You must be in the Central List and must not belong to the creamy layer. Otherwise you must apply as General. Reservation also applies only where roster points exist for that specific post.
Q: 5. What happens if I leave the Bank before 3 years?
A: You will be liable to pay the bond amount - 3 months' Gross Salary capped at Rs. 2 Lakhs for JMG/S-I and Rs. 3 Lakhs for MMG/S-II, MMG/S-III and SMG/S-IV, as per the offer letter and extant policy.
Q: 6. When will I get my online test marks and interview scores?
A: Scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared prior to completion of the selection process. Interview scores of candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks will not be disclosed.
Q: My OBC certificate is from the State list and I belong to creamy layer. Can I still get fee concession?
A: No. The notification requires caste in the Central List and non-creamy layer clause. If not, apply as General and pay Rs. 850. If you apply as OBC with an invalid certificate, you lose reservation and fee difference will not be adjusted.
Q: My experience letter does not mention my exact job role or the sector, but I have salary slips. Will that be accepted?
A: Very risky. The Bank asks for appointment letter, salary slip, relieving letter and documents showing break-up of CTC. If the letter does not show designation and relevant work area, the Bank may not count that experience even with salary slips, because it cannot verify it is in the required field like Digital Product or Information Security.
Q: My caste certificate spelling differs by one letter from my 10th marksheet and Central List. Is this a problem?
A: Yes. The note says caste name should tally letter by letter with Central Government list. Even a one-letter difference can lead to rejection at verification, because the Bank matches exactly. Get it corrected before interview through the issuing authority.
Q: I have 5 years commissioned service but my release from Defence will be after 2 months from the last application date. Can I apply for Manager - Security?
A: The note for Short Service Commissioned Officers allows those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from last date of receipt of application, provided the discharge is not due to misconduct or disability, and those with extended assignment beyond five years need a Defence Ministry certificate that they will be released within three months from receipt of offer. Check your exact category and keep that certificate ready with printed application.
Q: My B.Tech is in Electronics and Instrumentation and I have CEH. Am I eligible for Manager - Information Security?
A: Mandatory qualification for that post includes Electronics and Instrumentation specifically, so yes, your branch matches. Combined with CEH, you meet the degree plus certification condition. But you still need 3 years total in Government/BFSI/NBFC/Fintech/IT Companies with at least 1 year in Information Security role.
Q: I applied twice by mistake with different mobile numbers. Which application will be considered?
A: Only the latest valid completed application will be retained. The earlier fee will be forfeited. Do not appear for interview with two call letters, multiple appearance for a single post leads to cancellation.

Final Candidate Advice
The drive rewards documentary accuracy rather than exam speed. The bank has 206 posts divided into 22 roles and will shortlist very heavily on exact degree, exact certification, and exact experience wording. For the 88 facility management posts, re-issue your BOQ, tender, GeM, and maintenance letters with explicit domain language before you make the payment. For security, secure your service and release certificates in GOI format today. If your profile is 95% matched but the missing 5% is a required certification (CEH, CISA, or CISSP) or the 5-year commissioned service, it would be considered a complete mismatch. The shortlisting is provisional, so you may pass the scrutiny but be stopped at interview verification, fee lost, with no appeal. Submit your application within the first week, keep the acknowledgment number and printed application safe, and monitor the Current Opportunities page daily till joining. For parallel planning, keep alternative specialist PSB or PSU engineer recruitments active, as the Bank reserves the right to cancel or vary vacancies at any stage.
